The competition break and summer holidays are over: inside the 2Performant AI Hackathon
Whether you had a great summer or one that felt too short, our advice remains the same: keep moving forward! Here is what we built during competition break week at the 2Performant AI Hackathon.
Whether you had a great summer or one that felt far too short…
Whether you had a prolific round in BusinessLeague or a so-so one…
Whether you’re starting autumn with optimistic plans or at least with plans…
Whether you’re on your first or fourth coffee of the day…
…our advice remains the same: keep moving forward!
BusinessLeague — and quality e-commerce work in general — comes with better days and tougher days. With seasons of profit and seasons of learning. All of them are normal, as long as you stay true to the creed of "giving it everything I’ve got".
Last week was break week in the competition. We caught our breath, reviewed our reports, and enjoyed meeting up in two different European capitals at the exact same time: Bucharest and Dublin. Last Thursday was the very first time we hosted two simultaneous community meetups with our team present in both cities.
Until we share the full story from the pubs, here is what we brought back from break week: a 2Performant AI Hackathon. We dived head-first into our AI toolset, split into small squads, and spent a Friday afternoon coding functional apps and mini-games. Several of them won internal prizes, so we wanted to share them with you.
1. Dodge the Invoices (Fugi de facturi)

How do you dodge invoices? Or unpaid loans? Or wedding invitations from people you haven't seen in fifteen years?
Georgi built a mini-game ready to give you a few ideas. You can play it right here: https://fugi-de-facturi-game.surge.sh/
PS: the app only unlocks after you pay your building maintenance bill.

2. Who Said This? (Cine a spus asta?)

We say all sorts of things during our internal calls — and most of them are intentional. Bianca extracted 28 real quotes from the mountain of meeting transcripts available to our AI assistant. The twist of the game? Guessing which teammate said what. Some we nailed immediately; others fooled the entire room.

3. CYBER_REMINDER // v2077

Tudor built a brutalist-cyberpunk calendar and smart alert assistant designed so we never forget key administrative tasks again: https://cyberreminder.tiiny.site/
What it does:
- Tap the microphone and speak naturally in Romanian (e.g., "set a reminder for my car inspection on the 21st at 3 PM"), and the app parses and schedules the event automatically.
- Web Audio Synthesizers: Every alert sound is synthesized directly in the browser via the Web Audio API.
- F1 Doppler Effect: Whenever you check off a task as done, a Formula 1 car streaks across your screen with a synchronized Doppler engine roar.

Finally, best of luck to everyone starting or returning to school this week! Let's stay grateful, patient, and ready for Q4.
